Hamish Trolove
By training and natural inclination Hamish is a mechanical engineer who has spent a long time in the sustainable energy and research spaces. He lives near the foot of Mt Grey / Maukatere where he practices trapping and weedbusting techniques on his property – with some success.
Hamish is heavily involved in the Hurunui Writers’ scene having founded the Hurunui Writers’ Group, writing editorials for the Hotline newsletter, and organising various writing related events through the local libraries.
You will find him at the Amberley Repair Cafe’s on the electrical appliance repair station, and between times he does appliance testing and repairs for the Amberley District Resident’s Association’s resource reclamation hub, Mollies Place.
As the HBT Project Coordinator, Hamish is pleased to be able to play a big part in the realisation of the audacious Pest Free Hurunui project.
