Philippa Curtis
Philippa divides her time between Christchurch and Greta Valley, where she and her husband have built an off-grid home and care for a small landholding. She is passionate about conserving and enhancing biodiversity within and alongside productive landscapes.
Through the Garden to Table programme, Philippa teaches children how to grow, harvest and enjoy their own food; planting seeds of environmental stewardship in the next generation. She is actively involved in several community organisations, serving as secretary for the Canterbury Community Gardens Association.
With a background in marketing, Philippa enjoys using her skills to amplify the work of community groups, helping to strengthen their positive impact on our environment and local communities. These skills and her connection with Hurunui motivated Philippa to take on a part-time role as HBT’s coordinator in July 2025.
