Tipapa Stream Reserve

The Tipapa Stream Reserve is a small, inviting haven at the base of Greta Valley village. Owned by the Hurunui District Council, it was leased for grazing until 2014. Since then a group of local volunteers have been planting natives and keeping them weeded and watered. The reserve offers a recreation area and campground, and a walking/biking track that loops around the village.

Willow control to clear the stream and extending the walking track as far as Greta Valley School are long-term plans.
