The Hurunui Biodiversity Zones of Action Project (HuBZAP) is a comprehensive information resource for biodiversity in Hurunui.
The purpose of the HuBZAP is to help people identify threats to biodiversity on their land or in areas they have taken responsibility for, and then plan effective action. The resource includes maps of biodiversity ‘land types’ and associated threats and opportunities for action – Zones of Action.
An intention of the HuBZAP is to inform and encourage zone-based collaboration between neighbours. An example is the Blythe Valley Catchment Group.
